You thought Grindelwald's blue flames would burn Credence up as he stepped through the circle, but they don't. He wanted this. Credence wanted to join Grindelwald. Driven by the crippling desperation to know who he is, he's falling for Grindelwald's manipulation again. All you can do is helplessly watch as Grindelwald brings Credence into an uncomfortable embrace. Credence meets your gaze through the blaze, those doe eyes silently plead you to come and stand beside him but he knows you can't.
