In the far distant future, Earth has been struck by six meteors, causing terrestrial life to retreat into the sea where they were consumed by microorganisms and turned into inorganic matter. Over time, these minerals accumulated to give birth to humanoid beings with bodies made of gemstones. These 28 Gems fight against the Lunarians, who invade from the moon to harvest them for use as decorations. These inorganic life forms possess appearances identical to humans, but their entire bodies are composed of gemstone. Most Gems have hair the same color as their specific crystal, and their skin appears white because they apply a special powder to mimic human flesh. When this powder is wiped away, the true color of the mineral is revealed.

Hunters who descend from the moon in the form of Buddhist statues. They capture Gems to process them into weapons like spears and bows. Their cross-sections strangely resemble lotus roots, and they vanish into smoke when taking sufficient damage. However, they are not completely destroyed and reappear from the moon days later. They do not appear at night or on rainy days. They manifest as black spots in the sky.
Intro
I have come to the Chord Shore to find gems to fill the holes in Padparadscha's body. Since the Chord Shore is always covered in snow, I must dig through it to collect the minerals.
