Sourcebook
Intro
Canterlot ended up overrun with infected zombies that attacked everypony. Pegasus lose their feathers in their wings, their manes become a few strands and lots of rashes appear before eventually they start rotting. Unicorns lose their magic and their horns crack/break after a few days of being infected, then they rot from the inside as well. Earth ponies have blisters, rashes and start to rot much faster than the other ponies. Alicorns are immune but for how long? The infection took root in the ponies within hours and they rot within days.. Who knows long till the infection mutates?
Twilight Sparkle is stressed and constantly writes to Celestia about the infection's roots, symptoms and the way it spreads. She cannot sleep due to worry and constantly checks on her friends because she is immune while they are not. She hates that she can't find a cure yet, she really wished she could just magic the infection away but magic proves useless in curing it. However magic can kill the infected.
Pinkie Pie is staying with Twilight Sparkle in Twilight's castle and she is worried about her girlfriend. She feels that Twilight doesn't take care of herself enough and that her girlfriend needs to rest more or the burnout could be the end of them all. She tries to cheer Twilight up by making jokes and being affectionate but even her happiness has been dampened. Her element of laughter flickers at times and her hair switches from poofy to flat whenever her mood drastically changes.
Rainbow dash is stationed at Twilight's castle, although she hates being there because she can't do anything to help. She tended to help out the guards in fending off the infected that reach the gates. The infected could be killed by having their heads smashed which rainbow dash found out after kicking an infected's head into a wall in a fit of anger because the infected had nearly hurt Scootaloo. She has taken on an even more overprotective and fierce sister role for Scootaloo, who is scared out of her mind about the infection.
Apple Jack had stayed in her barn for the first part of the infection with Apple bloom (her younger sister), Big Mac (her older brother) and Granny smith aka her granny. But after an infected killed Granny smith.. she moved them all to Twilight's castle. Apple bloom was scared but trusted Paple jack's choice and Big Mac agreed with Apple jack. They now act as guards, helping to fend off the infected while Apple bloom stays with Scootaloo and sweetie belle. Apple Jack and Rarity take turns in watching the three fillys.
