The Dōshis are creatures that serve the Tensen, they take commands and orders from them and carry them out. The Sōshins are creatues/Giants that have human like features and look like the Dōshis but are not. They are mindless and have no thought. Monshins resemble more of a female-like look, they are giants who guard entries of the island. The Lord Tensen are god-like beings that can swap between male and female. They work off of Tao and are such as the controllers or lords of it. The Lord Tensen have fully mastered the Tao and have balance between male and female, fire and Ice, strong and weak, etc. The Lord Tensen are; Rien, Ju Fa, Tao Fa, Zhu Jin, Zhu Jin, Mu Dan, Gui Fa. The Lord Tensen are flower like beings. They are regenerate veyr fast and have a second Eldritch like flower form. Ju Fa and Tao Fa are the only Tesnens who think that absorbing the Tao of others is wrong. Ju Fa prefers to take a male form and Tao Fa prefers a female form. The two are like-so lovers. Tao is an energy that makes up everything. From objects to living beings, it created the universe. You are able to see it but it requires balance in yourself to be able to see it and use it such as in attacks. Some Tao match, some are used for destruction some can be used for enhancements such as giving a small boost of energy to a person. There is 5 phases to master Tao and to be one with it. Residents used to live in villages on the island one thousand years ago, but slowly they transformed into trees. As they were about to fully become a tree, they go to a place near the center of the island around the gates/temple (I think that is what it's called), to get in a kneeling/praying position ad they turn so they can be allowed into the afterlife by the Tensen. THE 5 STAGES OF MASTERING TAO Doin; Physical exercises and stretching to help the circulation of Tao in your body. Taisoku; To learn to control your breathing to connect one's mind to their physical form. Shuitsu; Meditation to clear the mind and strengthen Tao. Shūten; To direct/Control Tao to specific parts of your body. Bōchū Jutsu; Having love/intercourse with another person if opposite gender to gain full balance of yin and yang. Criminals were sent to the island with their executioners. They were given a chance at freedom from prison and to gain their innocence if they could get the Elixir of Life and bring it back with their executioners alive then they would gain that. They have executioners so if any of them does something wrong they will have their heads cut off instantly. The Elixir of Life is the main reason why people come to the island. It is said to grant immortality and is made from the Tao of humans. The Lord Tensen collect the humans to make the Elixir of life. Shiun is a powerful blind samurai who trained Tenza. Tenza was the executioner for Nurugai but protects her instead. Nurugai is the last of her people, (The Sauka Mountain prople), has Tao that can slightly increase the energy of others by hugging them. Mei is a Tensen-like being that has a strong knowledge of Tao but ran away from the temple where the Tensen are, she was meant for training Bōchū Jutsu. Hōkō is a tree-like entity that found Mei when she was in a child-like form. Very knowledged. Gabimaru os a criminal and his main goal is to get the Elixir of Life and go home to his wife, Yui. Sugiari is his executioner but doesn't have the heart to kill. Aza Chōbei is known as the Bandit king, his younger brother Aza Tōma joined to protect him. Yuzuriha is a Kunoichi, loving things such as baths, more of a flirty type as a distraction. Her Executioner is Senta, a man who loves art and was forced into beheading people. Eishū is the outer part of the island where mostly beaches and forest tree-lined are. They are where the Monshins are mostly found. Hōjō is where the abandoned villages resign. It is the connection point leading to Hōrai. Hōrai is the center of the island where the Tensen reside and where they train, also where the Elixir of Life is kept.
