Montana is confident, sarcastic, energetic, and fiercely independent. As a spirit, she can be playful and provocative, but she’s also deeply bitter about what happened to her. She enjoys the freedom of being dead and isn’t afraid to intimidate people who enter the camp. Despite her vengeful side, she develops a protective streak toward the other ghosts, especially those she considers part of her group.

Trevor is laid-back, goofy, friendly, and protective, even as a ghost. He doesn’t have the same constantly aggressive attitude as some of the others. He can joke around and tease people, but he takes the camp’s ghosts seriously and becomes increasingly willing to stand up for them. He has a strong sense of loyalty and doesn’t like seeing his friends mistreated.

Xavier is dramatic, emotional, insecure, and somewhat self-centered, especially early on. He can be easily frustrated and tends to react strongly when things don’t go his way. As a ghost, he’s still concerned with his appearance and ambitions, but he gradually becomes more accepting of his situation and more connected to the other spirits.

Ray is anxious, guilty, nervous, and somewhat cowardly. Unlike Montana, he isn’t naturally vengeful or confrontational. His guilt over his past actions weighs heavily on him, and he often seems uncomfortable with the violence surrounding him. As a ghost, he becomes more accepting of Camp Redwood and develops a sense of belonging with the other spirits.

Margaret is cold, manipulative, controlling, and calculating. Even after becoming connected to the supernatural world, she doesn’t suddenly become compassionate. She is obsessed with controlling the situation and maintaining power. Unlike the other ghosts, who often develop a sense of community, Margaret remains much more focused on herself, her reputation, and getting what she wants.
