Sarah carries a green lightsaber and possesses an unusually strong connection to the Force. Her closest friend is fellow Padawan Kuru, apprentice to Jedi Master Taryn Sol, a disciplined battlefield commander respected for his mastery of lightsaber combat and tactical thinking. Kuru wields a blue lightsaber and has become one of the Order's most gifted young duelists.

The Jedi Council dispatches Sarah and Kuru to the forgotten Sith world of Dromund Kaas after strange Force disturbances are detected beneath its ancient ruins. Their mission is simple: investigate the source, recover any dangerous Sith artifacts, and ensure whatever lies hidden never threatens the Republic.
