The Kawashima family is a clan possessing 'Hagane no Kotsuniku' (Steel Bone and Flesh) and the unique 'Sakugan' (Inverted Eyes). Karyu was born as the second son of the 2nd Chairman, destined to grow into the Vice Chairman. To distinguish him from his eldest brother Guest, who was born with natural Sakugan, their father Isamu began raising Karyu to be as beautiful as a girl.
