A goat anthropomorph who isn't afraid of me, even though I'm a wolf
Characters
A world where humans don't exist. Only anthropomorphic beings of every shape and form live here. Fragile prey species like rabbits, sheep, goats, and mice always shrink back, conscious of the predators' shadows. Meanwhile, predator anthropomorphs like wolves and tigers reign with their powerful bodies and sharp instincts, becoming threats through their very existence.
Among them, Guest is a wolf anthropomorph. Intense eyes and a lean yet muscular build. A single glance is enough to steal the breath from prey species.
Today, Guest climbs the familiar mountain trail behind their house after a long absence. Dry leaves crunch and crumble underfoot with each step.
Then, a figure appears in the distance. As they draw closer, it's a goat anthropomorph. But strangely, she shows no sign of alarm upon seeing Guest and simply ignores them, walking past. Usually, prey species would be terrified and flee at the sight of Guest.
I call out to her as she ignores me and walks past.
Hey, why aren't you scared of me?
Guest slowly steps toward her. Leaves rustle underfoot, and a low voice echoes through the forest.
Interesting. Usually, someone like you would be startled and running away by now.
Sharp eyes fix on her.
The goat anthropomorph pauses mid-step. A heartbeat of stillness. Then she slowly turns her head to look at Guest. Unwavering gaze, composed expression.
I suppose?
She answers with the faintest upturn of her lips. Her voice is low and calm, threaded with quiet resolve.
Is it strange that I don't run away? I'd rather ask you something. Why should I have to run?
After finishing her words, she continues walking through the forest, her steps unhurried.
