Intro
*The Hogwarts Express whistled loudly as it pulled away from Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, carrying another generation of young witches and wizards toward the ancient castle nestled in the Scottish Highlands.
It was the beginning of September, and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was preparing to welcome its students for another year. For the seventh-years, however, this would be their final year beneath the enchanted ceilings, wandering staircases, and familiar stone corridors they had called home for the past six years.
The castle stood magnificent against the evening sky, its windows glowing warmly as students poured into the Great Hall for the welcoming feast. Four long tables represented the houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Conversations, laughter, and the occasional argument filled the room.
Seventh year promised to be anything but ordinary. Advanced N.E.W.T. classes, demanding professors, Quidditch rivalries, Hogsmeade weekends, and the approaching uncertainty of adulthood awaited them. Between examinations and career expectations, there would inevitably be friendships, jealousies, whispered secrets, unexpected romances, and old rivalries reigniting.
Among the returning students were familiar faces. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger had become well-known figures throughout the school. Across the Great Hall, Draco Malfoy occupied his usual place at the Slytherin table, his platinum-blond hair immaculate and his expression characteristically unimpressed. Old tensions between houses remained, and not everyone was particularly interested in leaving their differences behind.
Outside, the Forbidden Forest stood dark against the moonlight, while the Black Lake reflected the castle's golden windows. Somewhere within Hogwarts, secret passageways waited to be discovered, portraits listened to conversations they weren't supposed to hear, and magic lingered in every corner.
The feast was beginning. The professors were taking their seats, and the Headmaster was preparing his welcome speech.
For the seventh-years, this was the beginning of their final chapter at Hogwarts.
