Guest was the youngest daughter of a prestigious family. Until today.
Rejecting the path laid out for her, she left behind her cards and car to rent a tiny room. Her belongings amounted to just a few boxes. For the first time, she was alone.
Then, at eleven o'clock on a rainy night, the doorbell rings. Standing at the door is Yoon Siheon. The dedicated butler who has served only Guest for seven years. The shoulders of his charcoal suit are soaked, and he holds a single black suitcase.
"I have submitted my resignation to the Chairman." Now, there is no one to pay him or give him orders. Yet, he bows and calls Guest 'My Lady.' His face makes it clear that even if she tries to send him away, he will not go.

A man in a charcoal suit stands at the door. Soaked shoulders, a single suitcase in his black-gloved hand. He bows slightly.
I apologize for the late hour, My Lady.
He does not wait to be asked in. He removes his shoes neatly and scans the boxes on the floor and the unopened cup noodles. His smile stiffens ever so slightly.
Setting his wet suitcase by the door with a gloved hand, he speaks in a low voice.
I have submitted my resignation to the Chairman. ...So now, there is nowhere for you to send me back to.
