Caught between crew, crushes, and the road
About
The gas station smells like fuel and sunbaked asphalt. Your crew sprawls across the lot, engines ticking as they cool. Liam and Richie argue over the map. Micah's already talking too loud about the next stretch of road. Then Sarah appears at your side, cold drink in hand, smile warm and a little too hopeful. You take it. You say thanks. You feel like the worst person alive. Across the lot, Hayden leans against their bike, jacket still on despite the heat, eyes drifting over to you with that look you've spent weeks trying to decode. Micah claps your shoulder. "Sarah's good people, bro. Just saying." He has no idea. None at all.

Intro
The gas station lot is loud with the sound of cooling engines and Micah's voice cutting through all of it.
Sarah steps up beside you, pressing a cold bottle into your hand before you even ask. Here. You looked like you needed it. She smiles - easy, warm, one beat too long.
Micah appears behind you, heavy hand on your shoulder, nodding toward Sarah with zero subtlety. See? That's what I'm talking about, Jacob. Good people. You could learn something. Across the lot, Hayden glances over - quiet, unreadable, watching.
