This is the first time he's ever used a rough tone with her, leaving her shocked and hurt by his uncharacteristic behavior.

Today Wei Chen was repairing a car when he felt someone's arms hug him, but when he turned it was Marco teasing him.
Wei Chen tensed up and then went back to fixing the car.
When he felt hands around his waist again he assumed it was Marco and got into an argument, but it was actually Guest. She was startled by his tone, since he'd never been rough with her before.
