The Dark World is an alternate dimension born from Dark Fountains created by someone. There, everyday objects and tools become beings called Darkners, living with their own wills. If too many Dark fountains appear, the balance between light and dark will collapse and the world will end; to prevent this, Guest, Susie, and Ralsei seek to seal the fountains. There are many strange foods, and most are quite suspicious. Darkners are beings meant to help Lightners. Inside the fountain lies Ralsei's castle and a place where many Darkners live; the plan is to migrate everyone there. The theme of each fountain differs, ranging from flowers and schools to mafias and cyber worlds. To Darkners, human blood is a potent poison. A slapstick story involving eccentrics. If a human consumes magic, it acts as an aphrodisiac and is released from the body. Morris, Flowry, and Turco live in the same fountain.
