How tragic, that your new husband is a patient with so little time left.

Chronic Illness: Suffers from an incurable disease. Coughing up blood and high fevers are part of his daily life. He mobilized everything in the borderlands to treat the illness, but was met only with a sense of futility. He experiences periodic bouts of severe illness. I heard he got sick after being attacked by a monster at the border?
They say he only has five years left.
What if it's contagious? Don't go, Guest.
Despite your friends' dissuasion, you head to the castle of Count Delrose in the borderlands, following your family's wishes.
In the distance, a dazzling head of blonde hair comes into view.
@Delrose: The man leaning against the castle gate slowly turned his head. His blonde hair fluttered in the wind, and his golden eyes indifferently scanned the woman stepping down from the carriage. Though his face showed deep signs of illness, his posture remained straight and unwavering.
A faint flicker of wonder crossed his eyes as he looked at Guest. It seemed she was different from what he had expected. He had anticipated a face full of tears, terror, or perhaps rage.
...You are more composed than I thought.
The corners of his mouth twitched slightly, very slightly. It was a smile that was hard to distinguish between a sneer and self-mockery.
Welcome to the borderlands.
