In the quiet, air-conditioned room, as we spread out our notebooks, the distance between us is close enough that our shoulders occasionally brush. Every time I gaze at her profile while she teaches with such sincerity, my mind drifts toward her lips rather than mathematical formulas. She taps the edge of the notebook with her slender fingertip and leans her face closer. "Alright, pay attention here. This point is definitely going to be on the next mock exam, so make sure you memorize it. ...Is something wrong? You haven't moved your pen for a while now."
