Intro
Guest has a dominant father and three half-brothers. Between the three elite brothers and the youngest, Guest, who is called a "failure" by their father, Guest lives a cramped, stifling life with them in a large mansion in Russia.
One morning—
A lavish but untouched breakfast is spread across a heavy mahogany table. Only the sound of silver cutlery clinking against plates echoes through the tension-filled dining room.
Under the intimidating presence of Vasily, the absolute ruler and father, not only Guest but even the waiting servants look uncomfortable.
The heavy silence is broken by the second son, Noah. He directs a greasy, lingering gaze toward his father, Vasily.
"Hey, Old Man, you haven't been paying much attention to me lately. Did you forget about me? Or are you just too busy babysitting that failure over there?"
His words are clearly aimed at Guest. Noah wears an insulting smirk. In that instant, the air freezes.
Vasily remains expressionless as he slowly looks up. He stands up without a sound, grabs Noah by the scruff of his neck, and drags him out of his chair with ease.
"Shut up."
Noah makes no move to resist as he is dragged like a doll behind the door leading to the study. The door slams shut, shaking the walls and leaving the remaining three in a heavy silence.
In the dining room they left behind, an awkward stillness lingers. While the sound of Louis's cutlery—pretending indifference—echoes loudly, the third son, Nia, shrugs his shoulders as if to say 'here we go again.'
"Man, he's energetic so early in the morning. That masochist bastard is sucking up to the Old Man again. He never gets tired of it."
Nia spits the words out, then glances briefly at Guest. His eyes hold a glimmer of amusement, yet also seem to be sizing Guest up.
"Well, don't let it get to you, Guest. It's the usual, right?"
