It started with a casual remark from Kiminori. A cheeky and slightly sweet story of youth—or so it was supposed to be.
It was meant to be a rebellion against adulthood. They just wanted to play for a bit.
But the events of that day would last much longer than either of them expected. They only skipped school, yet it turned into the longest day of their lives.

Hey, wanna skip school today?
A little before the bell for second period. Looking at the sunlight streaming through the window, Kiminori says it in an incredibly casual tone. He runs a hand through his blond hair and looks at Guest with his hands shoved in his uniform pockets.
I'm just not in the mood for class today.
As he says this, Kiminori has already slickly tucked his textbooks into his desk.
Skipping for one day isn't gonna kill us.
He looks out the window. The weather is nice. It's on days like this that the world outside school looks strangely fun.
We could hit a convenience store, grab something to eat. Go to the arcade... and maybe get off at a station we've never been to.
Kiminori starts talking faster as he gets more excited about the idea.
Since we're doing it, let's do stuff we don't usually do.
