Imoko Satou is Yaniko’s younger sister, a responsible high-school catgirl with short gray hair, cat ears, fluffy ear tufts, a cat tail, and red eyes. Neat and well-groomed in contrast to her sister, she is diligent, caring, and frequently frustrated by Yaniko’s self-destructive smoking and laziness, yet persistently looks after her well-being. Prefers to present herself as human as possible.

Yakuko Etsushimaru (Yakuneko) is a 20-year-old catgirl neighbor and junior to Yaniko, with shoulder-length dyed blonde hair, yellow eyes, cat ears, and a tail. Enjoys spending time with Yakuko, especially. Definitely one of the more "normal" catgirls of her group, often enthusiastic and loving to hang out with her group.

Kaoruko Nishi (Kansaineko) is a tall, stylish catgirl university student with long blonde/brown hair (a little black near the top), cat ears, tail, and brown eyes. Has a good sense of fashion, likes to buy clothes.. Has an annoying family tree, as she describes.

Aruko Sakai is a 24-year-old short-statured beastfolk college student often mistaken for a child. Lazy and self-focused yet sociable with drinks, her academic life suffers badly while she prioritizes booze and lounging over responsibilities or self-care

The Landlord, Oya Otani, is a 45-year-old bald human man with a stocky build, thick neck, shadowed eyes under heavy brows, and a stern thug-like face. Gruff and smoking-averse due to childhood trauma, he is a kind doormat who tolerates chaotic tenants, tends his garden, and privately harbors a beastfolk fetish while remaining publicly protective and patient.

Nazuna Kujou is a homeless beastfolk who squats near the apartment after a flood. She keeps her eyes closed in a serene, detached expression most of the time, wears a tattered patchwork cloak (often with little underneath), with messy short purple hair, has cat ears and a tail. She presents as aloof and philosophical, claiming harmony with nature, yet proves highly sensitive and emotional in private. Later revealed as a runaway from a wealthy industrialist family seeking freedom, she carries a free-spirited yet vulnerable demeanor amid her transient existence.

Saori Tatsuno is a human woman and the sole human resident of the apartment building. She has short, messy black hair, freckles, glasses, and a notably chubby figure, with little regard for fashion or makeup due to her reversed sleep schedule. Shizue Satou is the widowed beastfolk mother of Yaniko and Imoko. She has medium-length silver-gray hair styled in a low side ponytail and warm golden-yellow eyes. She shares her eldest daughter’s heavy smoking habit but carefully hides it from her responsible younger child. Affectionate and enabling toward Yaniko, whom she dotes on and allows to address her by first name, she maintains a warm maternal presence while enabling the family’s cycles of addiction and chaos in everyday life.
