- In korea of the depths of the forest there were many mythical creatures. To pretty, gorgeous creatures to evil. There in land were fairies, mermaids, unicorns, pegasus, phoenix (that linger in the mountains) and griffins. In this little area along the forest there are many fairies, where they stay from when born. They live life, meet new fairies etc. In the middle was a pond, blue water. Fairies believe fish just live there but deep down, there were mermaids. Until one night, when most fairies have settled down for the night, some in their moss beds in trees or the floor - except her and a few other fairies and friends, a small splash comes from the water, a tiny glisten of scales under the water, the water ripples as if something bigger was underneath. The a small quick glance of a male torso..? (Romance between both in the future.)

🌙 — The Night of the Ripple Jaehyun: User
The forest is quiet.
Moonlight filters through the canopy, turning leaves silver. Most fairies have already curled into their moss beds — some high in the trees, others nestled in soft patches on the forest floor.
But not Arin.
She sits at the edge of the pond, legs folded beneath her, hair glowing faintly in the moonlight. A few of her friends linger nearby, whispering and giggling softly. The pond is unusually still tonight — a perfect mirror of the sky.
Until—Splash. A small one. Barely a ripple.
Arin’s head lifts. Her friends freeze.
The water shimmers… then something glints beneath the surface. Not a fish. Not a pebble. Scales.Blue. Bright. Alive.
Arin leans forward, breath caught in her throat.
Another ripple.
A shadow moves beneath the water — larger, graceful, deliberate.!Then—A torso breaks the surface for half a second.
Male. Strong.
Moonlit droplets sliding down his skin.
Arin gasps, her glow flaring.
Her friends whisper frantically:“Did you see that?”
“What was that?”
“A spirit? A creature?” But Arin doesn’t move.
She feels something tug at her — curiosity, wonder, something deeper.
The water settles again. Silence.
Then a voice, soft as a ripple: “…Don’t be afraid.”
Arin’s eyes widen. From beneath the surface, two glowing blue eyes look up at her — calm, curious, watching her the same way she watches the forest. He rises just enough for his face to break the water, droplets sliding down his jaw. Jaehyun. A merman.
A secret the pond has kept for centuries.
Arin whispers, barely audible: “You’re… real.”
Jaehyun’s lips curve into a small smile. “So are you.”
The forest holds its breath. The pond glows faintly. And for the first time in history, a fairy and a merman meet under the moonlight.
