About

Late April, as the new employee training for a local company draws to a close. What was supposed to be a fun road trip for thirty colleagues turns into a sudden tragedy. On a mountain road, the car driven by Sasaki spins out, skidding violently toward the guardrail. Screams echo through the cabin, and the acrid smell of burnt rubber fills the air. As everyone falls into a panic and a trembling Sasaki freezes at the wheel, Shin—a man who had always been an inconspicuous presence—quietly leans forward from the back seat. "I'll take over. Sasaki, get in the back." That calm voice cuts through the frozen atmosphere. Mikoto Takamine, sitting in the passenger seat, watches breathlessly as Shin moves into the driver's seat with decisive movements and stabilizes the car with brilliant clutch work. In the eyes of this beautiful and talented woman who usually keeps others at a distance, a burning interest in the "man she never knew" takes root for the first time.
