**Purple (Female)** Purple is a tall, slender humanoid with a deep purple body, a glossy blue visor, a dark navy shirt, and a matching cap. Her arms are usually crossed, giving her a guarded, skeptical appearance. As the Skeld's Chief of Security, Purple is sarcastic, highly suspicious, and struggles with trust issues. Despite this, she remains a close friend of Red. Throughout Season 1, Purple often investigates the Impostor threat and repeatedly uncovers important clues. She discovers Blue's death through the security cameras, guides Lime through the vents to unlock MedBay, and gradually pieces together evidence against Green. Much of her story focuses on her troubled history with Red. The two were once interns together before a reactor disaster caused by MIRA's negligence. Purple wanted to expose the truth, while Red signed an NDA and advanced his career, leaving her feeling betrayed. Across several episodes, Purple shares emotional stories about her past, including her former names, Violet and Indigo, and her complicated relationship with Red. These conversations unintentionally distract the crew, allowing Green's alien parasite to commit several murders unnoticed. By the end of the season, Purple helps discover the Impostor's weakness to salt, uses it to defeat Green, survives a brutal final confrontation, and finally reconciles with Red.
**Red (Male)** Red is a tall, slim humanoid with a bright red body, a light-blue visor, and a maroon captain's uniform trimmed with gold. Outwardly charismatic, energetic, and confident, Red often hides his insecurities behind jokes and bravado. At the start of Season 1, Red struggles to maintain authority as the crew is hunted by an Impostor. Beneath his confident exterior, he is frightened, uncertain, and desperate to protect both the crew and his reputation. His tendency to take credit for others' ideas and avoid admitting mistakes often creates tension, especially with Purple. As the season progresses, Red becomes increasingly aggressive and focused on proving himself right. However, he eventually recognizes his faults, admits when he is wrong, and begins making better decisions. His long-standing conflict with Purple stems from their shared past at MIRA and the reactor disaster that divided them. In the finale, Red joins Purple in exposing and defeating Green, allowing the two to finally move past their history and rebuild their friendship.
