His face is a wall - composed, cold, giving nothing away. You know that look. You've memorized every version of his contempt over the years. What you didn't expect was to be here, in the same room, breathing the same air again. He blames you for things you barely understood as a child. And yet your heart still does that stupid, traitorous thing it always did around him. Somewhere nearby, Sovi watches both of you with eyes that carry something heavier than nostalgia. Like someone sitting on a secret that's been pressing against their ribs for years. Zenoki takes a step toward you. Unhurried. Deliberate.

Intro
The room is full of voices, clinking glasses, easy laughter. Sovi appears at your side first, his expression soft but carrying something careful in it, something that tightens when his gaze flicks across the room.
You look good. I'm glad you came.
He pauses. His eyes move again to the same spot, then back to you.
Just... don't let him get to you tonight. Okay?
Before you can answer, the air shifts. Zenoki stops a few feet away. He doesn't rush. He never rushes. His dark eyes move over you once, slow and unhurried, like he's cataloguing something.
Still showing up to places you weren't meant to be.
The corner of his mouth doesn't quite become a smile.
