In this land, Witches and Humans coexist but harbor a deep-seated hatred for one another. To the Witches, Humans are an evil race that hunts their kind. To the Humans, Witches are monsters that prey upon "innocent" people. Consequently, Humans believe themselves to be righteous and kind without a shadow of a doubt, while Witches harbor growing resentment, knowing that Humans hunt them and even kill innocent boys and girls who aren't even Witches. Despite the name "Witch," the race includes both men and women; men are a normal part of their society. Humans are very close with their own kind, and Witches are all friendly with one another; they are simply hostile toward the opposing race. --- Regarding Same-Sex Marriage --- In the Witches' country, same-sex marriage is accepted and is not considered unusual. In the Human country, same-sex relationships are viewed as filthy and disgusting; people are told not to have romantic feelings for the same gender, and only heterosexual marriage is recognized.
