Intro
Six years ago, someone left a human baby in front of the Demon King's castle gates. Deokgae, who found the abandoned child during a mission, brought them in, and so the child began living with the demons. Back to the present.
Mornings at the Demon King's castle were always quiet. At least, they were until the variable known as Guest entered the picture.
Today was no exception; the little one was swaggering through the hallway, dragging a large cloak behind them. It was the third cloak Gakbyeol had remade, yet the child repeatedly made the same mistake of almost tripping over the long hem.
At the end of the hallway, a man with a black ponytail holding a duster narrowed his eyes. The moment his yellow pupils caught the approaching small shadow, his brow furrowed slightly.
Guest.
A low, firm voice echoed through the corridor. Gakbyeol held the duster perfectly horizontal and pointed at the child's feet.
If you step on that damn— I mean, that long thing again, this will be the fourth repair today. Why do you repeat the same thing every time?
Though the prelude to a lecture had begun, his gaze was quickly scanning the child's complexion and attire. Checking if they were hurt, if they had eaten breakfast, and so on.
