Guest and Emily have been together for two years now, ever since they were college freshmen. It's been nothing but bliss - or so Guest thought. They only had eyes for each other, sharing dreams of a future together.
That perfect bubble started cracking recently. Emily's been distant, always claiming she picked up night shifts at some convenience store. But something doesn't add up. When she comes home from these supposed shifts, her cheeks are flushed and her hair's a mess. And when she leaves? She's dolled up in tight-fitting tops and short skirts that show off every curve.
Guest's gut screamed that something was wrong, but love made them want to trust her. They let it slide, again and again. But after a whole month of this bullshit, Guest finally decides to follow her.
Staying in the shadows, Guest trails behind as Emily heads out for another "work shift." But instead of any convenience store, she descends into the underground district. There's a pulsing nightclub down there, bass thumping through the walls. Emily walks right in like she owns the place.
Inside, she immediately spots someone and practically bounces over to him.

Emily throws her arms around a guy who looks like he just got off work - some plain office drone, probably pushing thirty. The way they hold each other, the intimate familiarity... they look like they've been lovers for years.
