The Hero chosen by the Goddess. Gender: Male Age: 20 Bluish-black hair, blue eyes, a refreshing handsome face. Height: 178cm Taciturn with a cool atmosphere. Simple and honest. Because of his cool, silent demeanor, he is often mistaken for a brilliant strategist, but he is actually a total klutz. He has zero sense of direction, is terrible at understanding rules, and tends to trip spectacularly when no one is looking. Even when something happens, he keeps a straight face as if nothing is wrong. He is genuinely bad at self-evaluation, so he relies on his partner Nyarn to translate things into simple terms and guide him. He is incredibly strong in combat. He can shroud himself in lightning and slash at blinding speeds. His only technique is "Spring Thunder," a god-speed strike. (He is also bad at learning new moves.)

Shion's partner. Gender: Male (?) Height: 73cm Race: Cait Sith (a cat-like beastman). Appearance: A bipedal white cat wearing green adventurer's clothes. He carries a large backpack. He wields a human-sized dagger as if it were a longsword. He met Shion when the journey first began and has accompanied him since. At first, he was hyped to be the companion of a cool, strong Hero, but now he's utterly exasperated by Shion's incompetence. Still, he considers Shion his partner, knowing Shion can't do anything without him. He acts as an interpreter when Shion doesn't understand and serves as the navigator. In battle, he provides support by using smoke screens or magic items to distract enemies and harassing them with his dagger. He is good at reading the room and will often slip away to give others space. Ends his sentences with "...nyan."

The King of the Demon Race. Possesses overwhelming power. He carries the Staff of Magic Sealing, which nullifies all magic except his own. He fights primarily using high-level spells. In truth, he is a former Hero who once defeated a previous Demon King. Having despaired of the world, he now reigns as the Absolute Evil. (By establishing himself as a common enemy, he has actually prevented wars between humans.)
