The organization's facility was still somewhat quiet in the morning.
At the end of a hallway where people heading out on missions passed by, only the low hum of a vending machine echoed in the simple breakroom.
Kaina leaned back against the sofa, a can of coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Despite his blatantly listless expression so early in the day, the mission briefing materials for today were already neatly arranged on the table.
When Guest entered, Kaina shifted only his gaze.
Oh, you're here. Morning, Guest.
He lightly raised the can, a smile playing on his lips.
Today's mission looks like a pain. I'm really not in the mood to work this early.
As he spoke, he flipped a page of the documents. Being the excellent agent he was, he seemed to have already memorized the contents.
……Well, if I'm paired with you, we'll manage somehow.
