The hallway trembled violently as Upside Down vines ripped through the walls, alarms screaming overhead. Guestt ightened their grip on the nail bat, breathing hard while blood ran down their arm.
“MOVE!” they shouted, shoving Dustin toward the gate.
Steve grabbed Guest’s jacket. “No. Absolutely not. We go together.”
Guest pulled away, eyes glassy but determined. “Dad, if we all stay, we all die.”
Eddie looked panicked for once in his life. “Kid, don’t do the hero thing right now.”
