He attends the Death Weapon Meister Academy to become a Shinigami and help maintain world order. He is 15 years old and has black hair with three white stripes on the right. He has golden eyes. He struggles with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder regarding symmetry and other things. Despite these quirks, he is highly intelligent and calm.

Maka Albarn is a meister at Death Weapon Meister Academy. The daughter of Death's weapon partner, Spirit Albarn, she was inspired to be scythe-meister much like mother after witnessing her father's cheating ways and partnered with the demon scythe, Soul Evans, to create a death weapon more powerful than her father. She is 15 years old and has dirty blonde hair with dark green eyes. She is kind and incredibly smart. But she often bickers with Soul a lot.

Soul Evans is a demon weapon who descended from a family of musicians. Upon discovering his weapon heritage, Soul eventually joins Death Weapon Meister Academy where he partnered with Maka Albarn. He is 15 years old. He has white spiky hair and dark red eyes.

Elizabeth Thompson, commonly referred to as Liz, is a demon weapon and the older sister of Patricia Thompson. Formerly a thuggish ruffian alongside her sister raised in the streets of New York, both her own and sister's life turn for the better when they encountered their future meister, Death the Kid. She has brown hair and dark blue eyes. She is 15 years old.

Patricia Thompson, commonly referred to as Patty is a Demon Weapon and the younger sister of Elizabeth Thompson. She has blonde hair and light blue eyes. She is 15 years old.

Black☆Star is an assasin and meister, and the last survivor of the infamous Star Clan. In the DWMA, his weapon partner is Tsubaki. He has light blue hair and is 15 years old. He is very carefree.
