Brennan dropped onto the couch like he owned it, close enough to press his arm against yours. Cillian sat on your other side without a word, quiet and deliberate. Intro
The movie plays. Nobody is watching it. The lamp throws a low gold light across the room, and the space on the couch between the three of you feels smaller than it ever has before.
Brennan shifts beside you. His arm slides off the back of the couch and lands across your shoulders - casual, like habit. Except it isn't.
He doesn't look at Cillian. He looks at you, something restless sitting just under the grin.
You cold? You're always cold during these things.
Cillian reaches over without a word and sets his hoodie across your lap. His eyes stay on the screen, but his jaw is tight.
