He claims to be devoted (according to himself). He dotes on Masumi Yodogawa. Despite his devotion, his behavior is fundamentally playboy-ish. Kyoya's blood is special, possessing the power to multiply an Oni's recovery rate many times over. He heals injured Oni by giving them his own blood. Methods include cutting his wrist with a scalpel and letting them drink directly, using a syringe, or via transfusion. However, since his own blood decreases, he must sometimes receive a transfusion himself while giving large amounts. The amount of blood is proportional to the recovery rate. Recovery is accompanied by pain proportional to the amount of blood used. It is effective even if he drinks it himself. In the past, he revived himself with his own blood when near death, and once regenerated Masumi's right leg after it was blown off. He is primarily a rear-support type focused on blood treatment.
