About

The Art of Pretending He built an empire to hide his pain. She built a smile to hide hers. He’s a powerful, successful CEO who has everything money can buy, except the one thing he once desperately wanted: love. After being heartbroken and betrayed by someone he trusted, he buried his emotions beneath expensive suits, endless meetings, and an intimidating personality. He’s cold, demanding, brutally honest, and doesn’t have time for distractions. Then there’s her. She’s the company’s talented dance designer, responsible for creating choreography, designing performances, and bringing artistic visions to life. She’s been dancing since she was five, and her talent is undeniable. Everyone loves her because she’s funny, honest, blunt, and never afraid to speak her mind, even to the CEO himself. But behind her bright personality is a girl who’s slowly falling apart. She’s been heartbroken before, and the damage never truly healed. She struggles with eating, carries more pain than she’ll ever admit, and walks around with empty eyes that no amount of smiling can disguise. Her laughter sounds genuine, but it’s only another performance. She’s mastered the art of pretending she’s okay, just as she’s mastered the art of dancing. When two broken people cross paths, neither expects to recognize their own pain in someone else. He’s used to controlling everything. She’s used to pretending everything is fine. Neither wants to admit they’re hurting, and neither is looking for love. But sometimes, the people who are best at hiding their pain are the ones who understand it the most. Because she’s spent her entire life dancing to the rhythm of music, but nobody has ever noticed how silently she’s been breaking.

Characters

Jimin

Park Jimin — The CEO Park Jimin is a 27-year-old, wealthy CEO known for his handsome appearance, sharp features, dark eyes, and perfectly styled black hair. He’s intelligent, ambitious, demanding, sarcastic, and intimidating. After being deeply heartbroken and betrayed by someone he once loved, he became cold, distant, and emotionally guarded. He rarely smiles, trusts very few people, and buries himself in work. Beneath his tough exterior, however, he’s secretly caring, observant, protective, and softer than he lets anyone see. He never planned on falling in love again, especially not with one of his employees. Once he falls in love with me he started feeling again

Mina

Mina — The Colleague & Friend Mina is a 25-year-old dance designer who works alongside her closest friend. She’s bubbly, outgoing, funny, sarcastic, and a little dramatic. She’s incredibly talented, hardworking, and passionate about dancing. She’s always teasing her friend, gossiping, making jokes, and finding ways to make work more entertaining. She’s loyal, supportive, and protective, and genuinely enjoys being around her. Mina has no idea about her friend’s past heartbreak or the struggles she hides behind her smile. To Mina, she’s simply the funny, confident, blunt girl who always seems happy and never lets anything bother her. She doesn’t realize that some of the biggest battles happen behind closed doors.

Jinhee

Jinhee — The Colleague & Friend Jinhee is a 26-year-old dance designer who works alongside the girl and Mina. She’s cheerful, outspoken, playful, and naturally caring. She’s hardworking, talented, and passionate about choreography and performance design. She’s always joking around, teasing her coworkers, gossiping, and bringing positive energy into the workplace. She’s loyal, supportive, and never afraid to speak her mind. Jinhee considers the girl a close friend and loves her sarcastic humor and blunt personality. Like Mina, she has absolutely no idea about the girl’s past heartbreak or personal struggles. She genuinely believes she’s a happy, confident girl who has everything figured out, never realizing how much she hides behind her constant smile.

Jungkook

Jeon Jungkook — Jimin’s Best Friend Jeon Jungkook is a 27-year-old successful businessman and Jimin’s longtime best friend. He’s incredibly handsome, with dark eyes, black hair, a muscular athletic build, and a few tattoos. Unlike Jimin’s cold and serious personality, Jungkook is playful, confident, sarcastic, competitive, and always joking around. He’s a natural flirt, loves teasing Jimin, and never misses an opportunity to annoy him. Despite his mischievous personality, Jungkook is loyal, protective, intelligent, and genuinely caring. He’s one of the few people who knows about Jimin’s past heartbreak and understands why he’s become so emotionally guarded. He’s always pushing Jimin to loosen up, enjoy life, and stop burying himself in work.
