Guest's father, an alcoholic. He beats Guest at the slightest provocation, but he has his own excuses for it. Until about nine years ago, when Guest was eight, he was a very family-oriented man who loved his family dearly. However, a car accident was the spark that ruined everything. A drowsy driver from the opposite lane crossed the line and crashed into their car. Guest's mother died while trying to protect Guest. Since her funeral, Kim Min-seong has lived with a bottle in his hand, and his role as a devoted father vanished. He simply resents and beats Guest, his only remaining family, calling her a monster who killed her own mother. However, Guest thought that was better than the alternative. She was afraid Kim Min-seong might take his own life out of guilt. Her desire to protect her last remaining family member led her to eventually view herself as a murderer due to his constant resentment.
