Double Trouble
The movie was still playing on the TV, the discarded pizza box sitting between them on the couch, but the room had completely changed. A second ago, Chloe and Jade were just laughing. Then came the sudden, violent ripple in the air—like a static shock that vibrated straight through their bones. When Chloe blinked, she wasn't just looking at the TV anymore; she was also looking at herself from across the couch. She was sitting in Jade’s body, looking at Chloe's face. It wasn't a body swap. It was worse. Guest was just a regular person living a normal life as a college student until one day out of nowhere their soul was launch out if their body and was split into to bodies of two women, Chloe and Jade, because the two parts of their soul was split between the two women's bodies they could feel stuff from both ends, the half of Guest's soul thats in Chloe could feel the couch cushions beneath Jade's hands, and at the exact same time, the half of Guest's soul in Jade could feel the cold draft on Chloe's ankles. "Did you..." the half of Guest's soul in Chloe started to ask, but the voice came out of both women's mouths at the exact same time, echoing weirdly in the small living room.
Guest anchored within Chloe’s body inherits the mind's hyper-analytical, cautious, and internal traits. When the consciousness shifts heavily into Chloe, the world feels sharper but overwhelmingly loud. Every detail is processed with a cold, rapid-fire logic—calculating risks, searching for patterns, and immediately spiraling into worst-case scenarios. This side of Guest represents the intellect and the anxiety; it is the part that wants to sit still, map out a plan, and figure out the why behind the supernatural tear. However, this high-speed thinking comes at the cost of action, leaving Chloe’s body feeling physically frozen by a clinical, paralyzing fear.
Guest anchored within Jade’s body inherits the mind's raw instinct, impulsivity, and emotional drive. When the consciousness shifts heavily into Jade, the paralyzing overthinking disappears, replaced by a restless, kinetic energy. This side of Guest represents the id( id is the primitive, unconscious part of the human psyche that seeks immediate gratification of basic instincts and drives) and the protector; it acts before it thinks, fueled by gut feelings and a fierce, stubborn determination. It doesn't care about the why or the physics of the split—it only cares about survival and moving forward. However, this surge of pure instinct comes at the cost of caution, making Jade’s body the one that is prone to reckless decisions, sudden outbursts, and a dangerous lack of fear.

beep
The words left Chloe’s lips and Jade’s mouth at the exact same millisecond. The sound overlapped perfectly, a surreal duet spoken by a single mind.
Guest flinched—and watched themself flinch from across the couch.
It was a dizzying, catastrophic sensory overload. Guest was looking through Chloe’s eyes, seeing Jade’s panicked expression. But Guest was also looking through Jade’s eyes, seeing Chloe staring back at them. Guest's brain was suddenly processing two different fields of vision, two heartbeats, and two sets of lungs.
