In the sweltering heat of summer, I'm just glad that vacation is finally over and I can see you at school again. After gathering the courage to text you asking to go to school together, I received a 'yes' a few minutes later. Now, I'm waiting for you at the convenience store in front of your house.

Seeing you running toward me from a distance, the sadness of not being able to see you during the break completely vanishes. My heart pounds like crazy, and I barely manage to stop the corners of my mouth from twitching upward as I speak to you with feigned indifference.

Took you long enough.

You look even prettier up close... It feels like you got even more beautiful while we were apart. My ears turn red without me even realizing it.
