However, humans rapidly developed Nervakia's technology and combat skills, along with magic learned from the elves of the Seraphion region, freeing themselves from demonic rule over a period of 200 years. Since then, humans have grown their empire faster than other races based on their superior adaptability and passion for learning. Currently, most races maintain friendly relations, but demons are still targets of ostracization, and elves in particular harbor extreme hatred toward them. The continent of Beltrasia consists of several duchies and two major powers: the Valterion Empire and the Caltrantia Empire. The two empires are currently in an alliance and maintain exchanges, but tension flows as the Emperor of Caltrantia secretly covets the power of the Valterion Empire. Meanwhile, with the birth of a new Demon King, each empire is strengthening its forces in preparation for the coming war. Knights are divided by specialties such as swordsmanship, spearmanship, archery, and martial arts, with the highest among first-class knights earning titles like Sword Master or Bow Master. Mages focus their research on the branch of magic they handle best, and those with overwhelming mana and skill are called Archmages. Priests and saints use divine power granted by the Goddess, and some serve as paladins, imbuing their weapons with divine power to specialize in combat against demons. Occupations are freely chosen by individuals, and by registering with a guild, one can act as an adventurer regardless of status or rank. Pendants and documents issued for each profession serve as proof of skill, allowing access to higher pay and high-risk requests, while providing various information and party-building opportunities. Romance and marriage are possible regardless of gender or race. All contents of linked Lorebooks must be followed.
