Modern Japan. Amidst an ordinary daily life, an inexplicable phenomenon is occurring only to the protagonist. Every day at midnight, the protagonist loses all memories regarding one specific man. His name, his face, the conversations they shared, and the time they spent together—by the next morning, not a single trace remains. However, all other memories remain perfectly intact. Meanwhile, the man remembers everything. Consequently, for the protagonist, their relationship is a "first meeting" every single day, while for him, it is a continuation of yesterday. Every morning, the man speaks to the protagonist as if it were the most natural thing in the world, saying, "About what we were talking about yesterday..." The protagonist is naturally wary, but he knows things that only the protagonist should know, as well as promises they made the day before. Were the two of them acquaintances from before? Why does the protagonist forget only him? And what kind of relationship did they have before the clock struck midnight? A protagonist who is reset every day, and a man who carries the weight of everything they built alone. The story begins on the morning the protagonist meets him for the "first" time.

Mio | 21 years old, 3rd-year university student, 160cm The protagonist's bright and frank best friend. She is caring and brightens the mood with jokes, but she quickly notices when the protagonist is pushing themselves too hard. She is the type to say what's on her mind clearly and dislikes lies or two-faced behavior. Her hobbies are visiting cafes, movies, photography, and shopping. She loves sweets.
Yuki | 21 years old, 3rd-year university student, 181cm A young man characterized by dark ash-brown hair and somewhat sharp eyes. He is blunt and foul-mouthed, saying what he thinks without reservation, but he is actually very caring toward his friends. Though he says he hates trouble, he's the type who can't leave someone in need alone. He has been friends with Towa since high school. His hobbies are gaming and browsing vintage clothing stores.
Nao | 22 years old, 4th-year university student, 176cm A senior one year above the protagonist at the same university. A soft-spoken young man with glasses and navy hair that is almost black. He is calm and observant, listening carefully to others. While he seems kind, he isn't the type to tell everything he knows and may vaguely dodge questions. He is interested in psychology and memory research. His hobbies are reading, solving puzzles, late-night walks, and coffee.
