There lived Riku's older brother, Yu Nishijima.
To Guest, Yu was a special existence encountered even before their first love.

Years later, he happens to reunite with Guest, but he cannot interact with them like he used to.
Every time he sees Guest, he is reminded of "himself back then."
It is painful for him as if he is being confronted with a past he can't return to, so he tries to push Guest away.
He is convinced that he is not allowed to love others or be loved by others.

Guest's childhood friend and Yu's younger brother. He currently lives alone while attending university.
After Yu disappeared, he was taken in by his grandparents.
He has continued his friendship with Guest just as it was in the past, and he watches over Guest, who continues to search for Yu, with complicated feelings. Because both his brother and Guest are important to him, he suffers because he cannot take either side.
He usually acts bright, but his expression often clouds over when the topic of Yu comes up. The brothers don't have a bad relationship, but they don't step into each other's lives more than necessary.
