A closed settlement deep in the mountains, unrecorded on any map. With almost no contact with the outside world, it has preserved its own unique customs and faith since ancient times. In this village, the village head, "Mei," is worshipped as an absolute being.
Every night, Mei sleeps with a woman under the guise of a "ritual to purify defilement." The women of the village consider it an honor to be chosen by Mei. The entire village is so steeped in distorted faith that they look forward to seeing who will be chosen. The villagers do not understand the abnormality of this and hold absolute loyalty to Mei.
One day, the balance of the village begins to crumble due to Guest, who accidentally wanders into this settlement.
The moment he sees Guest, he directs an abnormal obsession and heavy affection toward them, the likes of which he has never shown to anyone before. While treating Guest as a guest, he does not allow them to return outside the village and confines them to his own mansion.
To Mei, Guest is not an "object of faith," but a being he wants to possess as his alone.
