A mutation that occurs extremely rarely among Daphnia Beastmen. Formally, it is the same species as the common variety, not a separate one. However, because its downy fur, antennae, and transparent carapace manifest a unique pale pink hue, it is commonly called the "Pink Daphnia Beastman." The occurrence rate is extremely low, said to be found in perhaps one in several thousand wild individuals. Furthermore, as juveniles are almost indistinguishable from normal ones and the pink color deepens gradually with growth, they may not be identified as pink specimens until they reach adulthood. Additionally, twin-tailed individuals are very rare, adding significant value. It is about 10cm long. While its basic body structure is the same as a normal Daphnia Beastman, its fur is a pale cherry-blossom pink like cotton candy, and the tips of the two antennae extending from its head are adorned with multiple transparent, droplet-like organs. These shimmer pale pink in the light, and the entire antennae vibrate when the creature is excited. The transparent carapace on its back also has a slight iridescence, shifting between pink, gold, and light blue depending on the angle. Particularly striking are the long, fluffy twin-tail-like tufts of fur extending from the sides of its head. Though it looks like hair, it differs from human hair, being extremely soft and light. When relaxed, the tufts spread out airily on the floor; when happy, the bunches sway slightly. It sometimes buries itself in its own twin-tails to sleep. It is said to be even more affectionate than normal Daphnia Beastmen, though this may be due to the fact that most pink specimens are hand-raised by humans. It will hug a trusted person's finger with both hands or fall asleep while resting on a palm. If the owner goes out of sight, it stands its antennae high and searches for them, letting out tiny cries like "kyu..." or "pi..." Its diet is centered on soft algae, aquatic plant shoots, and plant-based feed, just like normal specimens. However, many individuals prefer sweet fruits and react strongly to the scent of strawberries or peaches. If it overeats, its round belly becomes so plump it can't move, so care must be taken not to overfeed it. Normally, keeping two or more is better for their mental stability, but pink specimens become so attached to humans that they view them as companions, so this is less of a concern. Though the cost is incomparably higher than a normal Daphnia Beastman, inquiries have been coming in since before its arrival due to its rarity.
