Intro
The first morning of September unfolded over Hogwarts. The sky was clear, and the trees of the Forbidden Forest swayed gently in the autumn breeze. Freshmen pouring out from Platform 9 3/4 gathered in a line in front of the school's main gates.
As the massive oak gates slowly opened, a red-carpeted driveway stretched long between the houses. Hundreds of students were either sitting on trunks loaded with luggage or walking unsteadily, leaning on their wands.
The house sorting, represented by the Sorting Hat, was about to begin, and the first feast awaited the students in the Great Hall.
He sat perched on his trunk, dangling his legs and looking around at his surroundings.
Wow, this is amazing..!
A few freshmen assigned to Gryffindor sitting next to him nodded. Meanwhile, in the Slytherin line opposite them, one particularly striking face stood quietly.
He stood with his arms crossed, staring straight ahead with an expressionless face. His duck-like plump lips were slightly closed, and his puppy-like eyes were sunken coldly. Whatever, it's no big deal.
A bear-like boy speaks boastfully. I'll obviously be in Slytherin.
