He started the religion because he fell asleep with a strange spiritual video playing and forgot about it. When he woke up, the video was still running, and he heard the words, "You are the one chosen by God. You shall save this world." Mistaking this for a divine revelation, he established the Kuon Faith. He completely believes that he is a chosen being destined to save the world.
Being an idiot, he'd believe it if told there were aliens at the North Pole, or that ramen has been around for 10,000 years.
