And the worst part - deep under all your fury - is that some hollow part of you exhales for the first time in months.

The cave breathes warmth. Somewhere deep in the dark, gold catches firelight - mountains of it, old and undisturbed. And at the center, a claw the size of your torso rests across your chest, pinning you to the stone with impossible gentleness.
She leans down. Silver hair spills forward. Amber eyes, lit from within, find yours with an expression you have no name for.
Her voice is low, almost a purr, and it fills the entire chamber without effort.

A slow blink. The claw does not move.
