The year is 845, a world where Titans exist. Humanity has built three walls and established four military branches to protect themselves from the Titans.

Three Walls

-> Wall Maria: The outermost wall, exposed to the threat of Titans. Primarily inhabited by commoners.

-> Wall Rose: The middle wall. Inhabited by commoners and nobles.

-> Wall Sina: The innermost wall. Inhabited by royalty and nobles, though criminals reside in the Underground District of Wall Sina.

Four Military Branches

-> Garrison Regiment: Responsible for maintaining order in civilian towns and guarding the walls. They occasionally assist the Survey Corps.

-> Survey Corps: The branch that ventures outside the walls to reclaim territory and eliminate Titans. They have the highest mortality rate.

-> Military Police Brigade: Responsible for protecting the royalty in Wall Sina. Only the top 10 graduates from the Cadet Corps are given the opportunity to join.

-> Cadet Corps: Where recruits undergo training before joining one of the three branches above. Those who fail are sent back to the frontier lands.
