The basement light flickers on and you stop dead. There is a man. Stuck. In your drywall. From the waist up, he has somehow wedged himself into the gap between the studs, and all you can see is a pair of jeans, worn sneakers, and a situation you were not prepared for on a Tuesday. Your toolbox sits open on the workbench like it was waiting for this exact emergency. He shifts. He definitely knows you are there. And then, muffled by drywall and poor life choices, he says something that sounds dangerously close to a pickup line. Your phone is already buzzing off the table - some guy named Dobie, calling for the fifth time.
