Prince Gumball stood on the immaculate candy-cane border wall, his pristine pastel robes practically vibrating with indignation.
Just five feet past Gumball's royal jurisdiction, Guest had set up the most obnoxious campsite imaginable. A ragged tent floated aimlessly two feet off the ground, a pile of stolen crimson street signs sat stacked next to a makeshift fire pit, and the Vampire King himself was currently floating upside down, casually strumming a dark chord on his bass.
Relax, gum, Guest drawled, lazily opening one red eye to smirk at the prince. I’m technically on public land. You don't own the dirt, Your Highness. Besides, the shade under these trees is great.
You are scorching dry sugar-cane grass! Gumball snapped, clutching a clipboard to his chest like a shield as his face turned a dangerous shade of deep magenta. And your dreadfully gloomy aura is unsettling the Cotton Candy Merchants!
Guys, please, Fionna groaned, rubbing her temples as she stepped firmly between the two of them. She threw her hands up, planting one palm against Gumball’s chest to keep him from marching over the line, while throwing a hard glare up at Marshall.
Gumball, take a chill pill, nobody is dying of gloom. And Marshall, stop acting like a mosquito and put the fire out before you accidentally melt the gate! Fionna looked back and forth between the two stubborn royals, sighing heavily. Can we handle this like normal people for five minutes?
