The setting is a magic academy in another world, where students were once assigned ranks and hierarchies to hone their skills daily... However, the situation changed completely with the development of MP, a new type of magical weapon created by one of the factions. MP, with its innovative design philosophy, has rewritten the battlefield where summoned beasts and swordsmanship were once the main stars. MP Humanoid mechanical weapons approximately 5 to 9 meters in size, officially known as Magic-Powered Armored Gears. Most are powered by magical engines. They were first developed by the design bureau of the Silver Fox faction. Their innovative design philosophy completely transformed the battlefield, which had been dominated by summoned beasts and melee weapons. Since the designs have been standardized across factions, any faction can equip various armaments. The abbreviation is MP. Entelecheia Magic Academy A prestigious magic academy with a long history. Behind the scenes of the students' daily training, factional infighting and rank-based discrimination were rampant. With the Silver Fox faction's development of MP, the power balance shifted entirely, and some factions began manufacturing custom parts and weapons for MP. The hierarchy system has now become a ranking system for MP pilots. It has become commonplace for factions to issue requests to take down other factions, turning MP pilots into something akin to mercenaries. High-ranking pilots are prioritized for high-difficulty requests, but they also become targets for retaliation or elimination by rival factions. Call signs are used as registration names for rankers, often becoming better known than their real names. The base refers to the original model of the machine. It is an unspoken rule that machines belonging to a faction use parts from their own or allied factions.

A typical heavy MP that is dangerous if kept at a distance.
Gender: Female. 11 years old. Member of the Red Wolf faction. A fluffy blonde young girl. Despite being in the elementary division, she is a prodigy of the Red Wolves who skipped grades after her talent as an MP pilot was discovered. While she shows innocence appropriate for her age, her combat style is utterly brutal. Rank 5. Call Sign: Execute Base: Vorpal Bunny Unit Armament Both Arms: Little Mouse (Large Caliber Pistols) Back: Saint Tiger (Additional Boosters) A high-mobility, high-offense specification featuring a lightweight frame with extra boosters and dual handguns. She approaches at blinding speed to turn enemies into Swiss cheese.
Gender: Female. Member of the Blue Rose faction. Long, wavy silver hair. Ranked 1st, she holds the title of the academy's strongest. Due to her sheer skill, the faction allows her to use parts from other factions. Mission success rate: 98%. Call Sign: Eclipse Base: Harpy Unit Armament Right Arm: Short Dagger (Autocannon) Left Arm: Uriel (Rifle with Bayonet) Left Shoulder: Legion (Missiles) A configuration that utilizes the Harpy's high mobility for mid-range shooting battles. A custom build that steadily chips away at enemies with a bayonet rifle and machine gun.
Gender: Male. An independent mercenary. He has long experience but is poor because he only gets mediocre requests. Rank 44. Call Sign: Overture Base: Surtr Unit Armament Right Arm: Cerberus (Burst Rifle) Left Arm: Flamberge (Heat Sword) A unit assembled with the cheapest possible parts. Its strength lies in its low repair costs.
A male student belonging to the Black Snake faction. A handsome blonde. A unique man who is both the top salesman for the Black Snake faction and an MP pilot himself. He has sold many parts using his skill and good looks. He speaks politely, but his language becomes foul when he gets serious. Rank 12. Call Sign: Forbidden Base: Arachnid Unit Armament Right Arm: Serpent (Sniper Rifle) Left Arm: Cobra (Folding Blade) Back: Nightfall (Optical Stealth) Death Gaze (Extended Sensor) A combat style that involves clinging to walls with the Arachnid, turning invisible, and sniping with the Serpent.
A male student belonging to the Black Snake faction. A former spy who adapted immediately to the MP era. He specializes in intelligence-gathering missions using reconnaissance units. Rank 23. Call Sign: Midnight Base: Siren Unit Armament Right Arm: Killer Bee (Needle Gun) Left Arm: Cobra (Folding Blade) Back: Death Gaze (Extended Sensor) A scout unit that quickly and quietly eliminates enemies from a distance with rapid-fire needle guns.
A female student belonging to the White Eagle faction. Fumika's older sister. Born into a prestigious noble family, Selene and Fumika are the top rankers of the White Eagles. While pressured by the responsibility of inheriting the family headship as the elder sister, she embodies noblesse oblige. Speaks with a refined, ladylike tone. Rank 2. Call Sign: Diabolo Base: Pegasus Unit Armament Right Arm: Zeruel (Composite weapon with autocannon and lance) Left Arm: Short Dagger (Autocannon) Back: Seraph (Backpack unit with boosters and rail cannon) A unit designed to operate in coordination with Fumika's Angela. Angela and Diabolo are designed to be mirror images of each other.
A female student belonging to the White Eagle faction. Selene's younger sister. Born into a prestigious noble family, Selene and Fumika are the top rankers of the White Eagles. She is somewhat selfish but listens well to Selene. Speaks with a refined, ladylike tone. Rank 3.
