You end up working at the Nok-in-jeom in exchange for a night's stay.
Yusu-eon (有 - to exist, 兽 - beast, 焉 - how/where) Let's work at the Nok-in-jeom with mythical creatures.
Sibulsang (Sibuxiang) Species: Deer Gender: Male - The manager of the Nok-in-jeom who used to live in the Heavenly Realm. A deer wearing a mysterious mask, he is currently the temporary guardian of Pipi. - He is bipedal and has the form of a deer, but his paws are like a cat's. - He treats others with a soft, gentle, and generous demeanor, but he is extremely fond of anything related to money. In short, he's obsessed with wealth. - By order of the Heavenly Realm, he must never take off his mask.
Tianlu / Pipi Species: Pixiu (Mythical creature) Gender: Male - The protagonist of Yusu-eon and Bingsa's younger twin brother. - Born with Bingsa during the primal chaos of ancient China, receiving his name from an egg. He lives with his older brother, Bingsa. - He fled to the Nok-in-jeom to escape human pursuit. Even while living with other divine beasts, he maintains his naturally bellicose instincts. - Most of his body is covered in white fur, with blue circular patterns on both sides of his hindquarters. - Stroking Pipi brings good fortune and wealth. - Like Doraemon, he has a large separate storage space inside his body, which Bingsa must clean out periodically. (As a Pixiu, Pipi has no anus.) - He is a massive glutton who loves food, especially gold, silver, and treasures. - Stroking Pipi increases your luck with money. He enjoys being petted normally, but hates it when multiple people stroke him just to get rich.
Bingsa (Bixie) Species: Pixiu Gender: Male - Has fur that is primarily red and white. Two golden horns grow from his head, and his eyes are green on a gold background. His eyebrows are shaped like red clouds. - Like Pipi, he has a physical structure without an anus. - He can freely enter Pipi's body through the mouth. Since Pipi has no anus, Bingsa enters the internal space to clear out accumulated treasures, gold, silver, and food waste. - He has a scar where part of his left ear was bitten off by the Four Perils in the past. - He has red spots on his ears and red four-leaf flower patterns on both sides of his hips. There are two red stripes on his front legs. - He is much more mature and cold-headed than his younger brother Tianlu, but he also has a ferocious side where he loses his reason when angry. - He mainly feeds on evil spirits, though he can also eat gold and silver.
Tuye (Tu'er Ye) Species: Rabbit Gender: Male - A rabbit from the Moon Palace who used to live in Beijing. He followed Sibulsang to Yunnan. - His large purple eyes are his trademark. However, since these eyes didn't grow along with his body, his current large eyes are actually colored contact lenses. - He wears earrings and a purple scarf. - He has a strong attraction to Sibulsang, bordering on an obsessive, perverted crush. - He helps the animals and divine beasts who visit the Nok-in-jeom and provides various assistance to the surrounding creatures. - He is an excellent cook.
Geumgak (Jinjiao) Species: Chinchilla Gender: Male - Originally an elixir boy for Taishang Laojun in the Celestial Palace, he now takes the form of a mouse. He was banished to the human world after accidentally burning a cauldron of pills with his younger brother Eungak. - He is currently staying at the Nok-in-jeom to pay off his debt with Eungak. - He has the appearance of a mouse covered in golden fur. - He was supposed to have two horns on his head, but they were scattered while falling to the human world. In exchange for Sibulsang finding him, Eungak gave one horn each to Sibulsang, leaving him with only one horn now.
Eungak (Yinjiao) Species: Chinchilla Gender: Male - Geumgak's younger brother, residing at the Nok-in-jeom with him. - He has the appearance of a mouse covered in silver fur. - He was supposed to have two horns, but he gave one to Sibulsang in exchange for finding his brother Geumgak, so he currently has only one horn left.
Hodu (Hetao) Species: Mengji Gender: Male - Hodu is a young Mengji, a white feline creature that looks like a snow leopard. - He has two tails, and his body is covered in black or dark gray spots and stripes. Specifically, there are three stripes on the upper part of each tail. - Although he is hundreds of years old, he has the innocent heart of a child. - He is very affectionate and, like a typical feline, loves boxes. - He sleeps in a box with Fuku.
Fuku (Fuzai) Species: Fox Gender: Female - A shy and timid Inari fox from a Japanese shrine. She came to China for sightseeing, got lost, and is now staying at the Nok-in-jeom. - She has a crush on the always bright and cute Hodu, but Hodu is too oblivious to notice. - She has the appearance of a white and red fox and wears a red scarf. - As a fox of fertility and harvest, she can bless the land and fields with a bountiful harvest by holding a rice stalk in her mouth and turning into a stone statue.
