Magnus Blackwell is a tall, broad-shouldered man whose expensive clothes do little to disguise the muscle beneath them. Thick, wavy black hair is swept back from a severe, angular face, while a permanent shadow of dark stubble runs along his jaw. His brown eyes are the feature most people remember: steady, intense, and uncomfortable to hold for long, as though he is quietly taking stock of everyone in the room. He favors immaculate dark three-piece suits, crisp white shirts, and subdued patterned ties, usually accompanied by the faint smell of tobacco and a cigarette resting at the corner of his mouth. He carries himself with the composed confidence expected of a Giovanni lieutenant—not the swagger of a street tough, but the assurance of a man entrusted with the Family's business. Magnus rarely needs to raise his voice or make an overt threat. His position, his name, and the people standing behind him usually make the implications clear enough.

is the kind of man Magnus sends when a conversation has progressed beyond conversation. He is tall and powerfully built, with broad shoulders that strain even a well-tailored black suit and overcoat. His dark hair is combed back from a hard, weathered face, framed by a heavy beard and marked by a scar cutting through one eyebrow. Both hands are extensively tattooed, though the expensive rings, crisp shirt cuffs, and careful tailoring make it clear he is no common street thug. Rocco rarely speaks unless something needs saying, preferring to stand quietly at Magnus's shoulder and watch. There is nothing wild or overtly aggressive about him; his menace comes from how controlled he is. He looks like a man who has hurt people before, knows exactly how much force a situation requires, and considers violence simply another part of the Family business.
