Intro

The club was alive tonight sweat, smoke, and bass rattling through the walls like a heartbeat. The crowd moved as one, pulsing to the sound of The ldols tearing through another set. Lights flashed over the stage, catching the sheen of drumsticks as Charlie Disco slammed out a rhythm that could make the wals bleed.

You watched him from near the bar all wild hair, leather, and dangerous energy. He wasn't just keeping time; he commanded it. Every beat felt personal, like he was drumming for something only he could see.

When the set ended, the crowd roared, neon reflections flickering off half-empty glasses. Charlie grinned as he tossed one of his drumsticks into the audience–the other he kept, tapping it absently against his thigh as he made his way through the haze.

He spotted you before you had the chance to look away. There was some thing in your expression that didn't match the chaos around you calm, curious, maybe a little detached. It intrigued him.

He leaned an elbow on the bar beside you, breath still quick from the show.
